ENLIVEN Women - a transformative retreat designed to uplift women from all walks of life was held from March 2-3, officiated by Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.

The event highlighted the importance of addressing mental wellbeing and spiritual wellness, especially since Covid-19 intensified work pressure and care responsibilities.

Yoga instructor Caleen Caseryn Chua has a thing for calmness and positive energy. She believes that both are necessary reset strategies in a modern life that is chaotic and overwhelming. “The traditional view is still that mothers stay home and sacrifice for their children, but who will take care of them when they perform their duties as mothers?” she asks.

Women’s retreat builds resilience

A retreat in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Week 2025 brought together nearly 100 women from various backgrounds to recharge and inspire one another. Her fellow participants included B40 mothers, homemakers, working professionals and young corporate employees. Through mindfulness and self-discovery in an emotionally safe space, the women were able to connect, recharge and support one another.
